Hawksbill Strawbones Tee

The Hawksbill Sea Turtle inhabits all of the tropical waters of the world’s major oceans. Hawksbills get their name from their distinctive beak-shaped mouth, which resembles that of a hawk. Their population has declined over 80% in the last century and they are considered Critically Endangered by the IUCN. (International Union for Conservation of Nature)

Hawksbill Sea Turtles can live for up to 50 years and migrate incredibly long distances. It is estimated that there are approximately 20,000 - 23,000 Hawksbill Sea Turtles left in the wild. Their population is in decline due to ocean pollution, residential and commercial development, oil and gas mining, fishing, and hunting (even though it is illegal to hunt Hawksbills in many countries).

Help the Hawksbill Sea Turtle by spreading awareness about their declining populations and donating to organizations invested in preserving their habitats. For every purchase of the Hawksbill Strawbones Tee, 10% of profit will be donated to the Rainforest Trust, where they are actively protecting the habitats of Earth’s endangered species, including the Hawksbill Sea Turtle.
